What Gmail enables in cellbot

Here's what you get when you connect Gmail to your repair shop.

1

OAuth-Secured Connection

Connect Gmail securely using Google OAuth. No passwords stored, no app-specific passwords needed — just sign in and authorise.

2

Two-Way Email Sync

Emails you send from cellbot appear in your Gmail Sent folder. Customer replies land in cellbot's unified inbox and your Gmail simultaneously.

3

Automatic Threading

cellbot threads repair-related emails automatically. Every message about a ticket stays grouped — in cellbot and in Gmail.

4

Template-Based Responses

Send professional repair update emails using customisable templates. Status changes, payment confirmations, and collection reminders — all branded to your shop.

Use Cases

How repair shops use Gmail

Real-world scenarios where the Gmail integration makes a difference.

Send professional, branded repair status update emails through your own Gmail address — customers see your business name, not a no-reply address.

Receive customer replies in cellbot's unified inbox alongside SMS, WhatsApp, and social messages, so your team manages all conversations in one place.

Automatically thread all emails related to a specific repair ticket so nothing gets lost in a busy inbox.

Send payment confirmation and collection reminder emails using customisable templates with dynamic fields for customer name, device, and repair cost.

Native Integration

Native Integration

Gmail is a first-class integration built directly into cellbot. No third-party connectors, no middleware — it just works out of the box.

Good to know

  • Gmail's daily sending limit is 500 emails for free accounts and 2,000 for Google Workspace — shops sending high volumes of notifications may need Workspace.
  • The Gmail API has a per-user rate limit of 250 quota units per second — normal usage is well within this, but bulk email operations may be throttled.
  • Gmail OAuth tokens require periodic re-consent if Google detects unusual activity or if your app's verification status changes.
  • Rich HTML email templates are supported, but some advanced CSS may render differently across email clients (Gmail, Apple Mail, Outlook).
FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Common questions about the Gmail integration.

Is my Gmail password stored by cellbot?
No. cellbot uses Google's OAuth 2.0 flow — you sign in directly with Google and grant permission. No passwords are ever stored or seen by cellbot.
Does it work with Google Workspace?
Yes. cellbot works with both free Gmail accounts and paid Google Workspace accounts. Workspace admins may need to approve the OAuth connection.
Are sent emails visible in my Gmail Sent folder?
Yes. All emails sent from cellbot through your Gmail account appear in your Gmail Sent folder, keeping your email records complete.
How many emails can I send per day?
Gmail allows up to 500 emails per day for free accounts and 2,000 per day for Google Workspace accounts. This is a Google-imposed limit, not a cellbot one.
