What Google Calendar enables in cellbot

Here's what you get when you connect Google Calendar to your repair shop.

1

Automatic Booking Sync

Every repair booking in cellbot creates a Google Calendar event automatically. Technicians see their schedule in the calendar app they already use.

2

Availability Management

cellbot reads your Google Calendar to show real-time availability. Existing appointments, holidays, and blocked time are respected — no double-bookings.

3

Appointment Reminders

Google Calendar sends automatic reminders to technicians before each appointment. Never miss a repair booking again.

4

Multi-Technician Calendars

Assign repairs to specific technicians and sync to their individual Google Calendars. Each tech sees only their own appointments.

Setup Guide

How to set up Google Calendar

Get connected in 3 simple steps.

1

Connect Google Account

Go to cellbot Settings > Calendar and click Connect Google Calendar. Sign in with your Google account and grant calendar access.

2

Select Calendars

Use Cases

How repair shops use Google Calendar

Real-world scenarios where the Google Calendar integration makes a difference.

Sync every repair booking to a technician's Google Calendar so they see their daily schedule in the calendar app they already use.

Show real-time availability on the AI chat widget by reading existing calendar events — customers only see open slots.

Block out holidays, lunch breaks, and personal appointments in Google Calendar and have cellbot respect those blocks when offering booking slots.

Assign repairs to specific technicians based on their calendar availability, preventing double-bookings automatically.

Supported

Supported Integration

cellbot connects to Google Calendar via webhooks and API. The integration is fully supported and maintained by the cellbot team.

Good to know

  • Google Calendar API has a quota of 1,000,000 requests per day per project — more than enough for any repair shop, but bulk operations should be spaced out.
  • Calendar sync relies on Google's OAuth tokens which expire and are refreshed automatically — prolonged Google outages may delay sync.
  • The calendar integration reads free/busy status but cannot access event details from calendars you do not own, limiting cross-team visibility.
  • Recurring calendar events are treated as individual blocks — cellbot cannot edit a single occurrence without affecting the series in some cases.
FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Common questions about the Google Calendar integration.

Can I sync to multiple Google Calendars?
Yes. You can map each technician to their own Google Calendar. cellbot reads availability from all connected calendars and writes bookings to the correct one.
Does the calendar sync work in both directions?
Bookings created in cellbot sync to Google Calendar. Events created directly in Google Calendar block availability in cellbot, but do not create repair tickets.
What happens if a customer cancels?
When a repair booking is cancelled in cellbot, the corresponding Google Calendar event is deleted automatically and the time slot becomes available again.
Does it support Google Workspace accounts?
Yes. cellbot works with both personal Google accounts and Google Workspace (business) accounts. Your Workspace admin may need to approve the OAuth connection.
